Website - What's Available - Reserves

How do Reserves work?

The library's reserve collection allows checkouts for the following items:

  • textbooks
  • Chromebooks & laptops (note: semester-long chromebook loans are through Academic Services)
  • calculators
  • bones and minerals kits

You may borrow reserve items in two ways:

Ask for your books at the front desk, M-Th 9 am-5:45pm

(It's helpful if you bring your class schedule or know the following info: Course name and number, Full book title, Edition number)

COMING SOON! We will soon have secure lockers so you can place requests for reserves online and then pick up your items after-hours.
NOTE: all reserve checkouts require you to have a Solano College (or Napa Valley College) library card.  If you don't have one yet, please fill out this form:

See the Reserves Borrowing Rules section of this page for information on borrowing limits, fines, and more.
